Sad Day

We finally had to give our four, yes that's 4, cats away. We found a home for the youngest one at the last minute, but the others had to be taken to the Humane Society. Why you say? We found out that our daughter is allergic to cats. We tried medication, put it was not working, she still had breakouts on her face. I've had the two oldest ones for about 11-12 years, so my husband was the brave one. He step up to catch them and drop them off. It was hard for him too, but we both knew it was in the best interest of our daughter.

Could it be?

Yesterday, during lunch with my daughter, I saw my first robin already and it's not even March yet. I usually don't see one until I see the grass appear under the melting snow. Is this a sign of things to come?? Will we get to see spring early this year? I can only hope. Don't get me wrong, I really do not mind the winter months, I grew up here. I should be accustom to snow, wind, and freezing temps. But when it comes to the colds, flu and all other respiratory illness, I'm ready for the robin to make it's nest already!

My Next Project

This is what I'm going to make Adalyn. I'm so excited to get this project started. Now I just need to find the entertainment center.

The DOTS

Why Polka Dot Tuesdays for a name? It all started with my obsession of picking out polka dot outfits for my daughter. I could not fight the DOTS. Therefore, I decided to dedicate Tuesdays as Polka Dot Tuesdays. hence the name of my blog. By the way, we also have Stripy Sundays.

Welcome to Polka Dot Tuesdays.
I've decided to start my own blog. Why? One day I was surfing the web for ideas for my sweet little Adalyn's room. Such as, making her a play kitchen and a bookshelve. When I discovered the world of blogs dedicated to crafts, moms, etc.. I started saving these women's wonderful and amazing ideas to my computer. When I found that they were piling up, I thought, why not have a blog of my own to save them. Plus I could journal my own life's journey through mommyhood, playing house with my husband and other life's adventures. Well, that's it for now.
